The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
(EEE),Manarat International University hosted EEE Annual Meet 2024 on Friday,
27th December, 2024 at the Cordova Seminar Hall, Gulshan Campus.
The event was graced by the presence of the chief guest, Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Dean of the School of Engineering, Science and Technology and the newly appointed Head of the Department, Professor Md. Ershadul Haque Chowdhury, as the special guest, Assistant Professor Rafiqul Islam, faculty member Tahrima Ashraf, Deputy Director of Admissions and Public Relations Jamal Hossain, System Engineer (In-Charge) Mustafijur Rahman and part-time faculties Mohsin Quraishi and Saiful Islam.
Assistant Professor Rafiqul Islam, Coordinator of the EEE Evening Program (Gulshan) presided over the program. He remarked, "Let’s strive to transform MIU into a university you feel proud of while you shape into individuals for whom all the faculties, officials and staff of MIU would feel proud of."
Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Dean of the School of
Engineering, Science and Technology highlighted the promising future for EEE
students in the global landscape. He encouraged them to embrace the
opportunities brought by the Fourth Industrial Revolution with confidence. He
expressed, “Students of the EEE
Department have bright prospects in the current global context. Confidently
embrace and capitalize on the opportunities offered by the Fourth Industrial
Revolution. Alongside achieving good academic results, it is crucial to develop
yourselves as skilled individuals.”
The newly appointed Head of the Department was warmly welcomed with flowers by all the students, faculty members, officials, and staff of the EEE Department present at the event.
With the first batch of the students
of EEE Evening Program (Gulshan) bidding farewell, they reminisce about their
time at MIU and humbly sought blessings for their future endeavors.
Finally, Professor Ershadul Haque Chowdhury, Head of the Department of EEE, described the university as a hub for knowledge creation and urged students to complement their academic learning with research activities, practical work, and participation in extracurricular endeavors as well as institutional learning. He also expressed his commitment to ensure better facilities, including world-class laboratories, and increasing the number of workshops and training sessions, industrial tour, highly skilled faculty, and collaborations with other universities and industries.
